--What a great day all round for the club as the third senior side were also in action as Honiton colts took the short trip down to play a strong Exmouth side.

Honiton got of to a great start when Honiton were awarded an offside penalty that Dom Lovesly slotted. The game was not with out problems and the ref had to have several discussions with the both set of forwards in a niggley first half that was evenly contested. Exmouth broke the deadlock just before the break with a try and they went into the break with a narrow 5-3 lead.

Exmouth then added to this with a second try and they were in the driving seat at 10-3 up. Honiton cause was not help with a yellow card for Sam Platten but they dug deep and Honiton’s 14 were rewarded when Callum Budge crashed over after 65 minutes. Lovely crucially converted to bring the scores level at ten a piece.
It was a frantic last five minutes as both sides pressed for the win but there was no further score and Honiton kept their unbeaten run in tact with a draw against a club, who have a good colts pedigree. Once again there was healthy support from Friends and family and this is another good sign for the club who will all senior sides remaining unbeaten 4 weeks into the season.
