Argum
On a bright day Honiton visited Plymouth Argum who play on the edge of the moor.
Playing in to a strong wind Honiton had the better of the early exchanges but then a series of penalties saw the home side get some traction in the game and another penalty right in the front of the post saw the home side convert it. 3-0 after 10 minutes.
A good break from Ollie Rice from his own line ended up on there 22 and then good interplay saw Jenkins score under the post. Philips converted 3-7 to Honiton.
Another series of penalties saw Argaum press and the home side scored just wide of the posts and converted to take a 10-7 lead.
Honiton then scored again under the post when Finn Parratt gave a neat inside to fellow prop Laird Crevald which was converted 10-14.
Another great break out was only thwarted by the final pass.
Honiton were now starting to become dominant especially in the scrum department and from one the ball was spun wide for Ollie Rice to dot down the third try difficult conversion was missed 10-19.
Half time came and it was then Honiton’s turn to use the very strong wind . A good kick resulted in Skipper House going quickly and scoring under the post. The conversion was taken 10-26.
From the kick off some great interplay saw Ben Spence canter in out wide the conversion from the corner was missed 10-31.
Honiton then lose Jenkins for 10 minutes for a High tackle.
Argum rallied and with several helpful penalties they eventually score the conversion was slotted 31-17.
Things started to go wrong with another card for Ben Kidson.
Honiton weather the storm and comeback strongly with a try scored and converted by Ben Philips . Straight from the kick off some great interplay from many saw Ollie Rice eventually dot down and Philips added the extras 17-47 to the Ton.
That was the final score a good win on the road…
