Honiton made the long trip down to play Perenporth in the quarter final of the Pappa Jon’s cup. Even stevens after 20 minutes as the Ton play into a strong wind.

Honiton swing the ball from side to side and Ollie Rice crashes over in the corner. The conversion was missed. The home side comes straight back after a quick kick from the kick off, the conversion was missed 5 apiece.
A good passage of play sees the Ton sweep up field but the home side clears the kick. Still pretty tight but Honiton have the better attacking intent.
The Home side kick well to the corner and win the line out and rumble over and the conversion sails over 12-5.
Honiton will probably rue their missed chances.
Half time comes and it’s the Tons turn to use the wind.
The home side start brightly but a mistake sees Ton kick well down the field and a penalty shortly after gets slotted by Ben Phillips 12-8.
A good kick ahead bobbles on the hard ground and the bounce favours the home side and they dot down under the posts for a converted try 19-8.
Honiton bounce back with another penalty 19-11.
Phillips slots a penalty from inside his own half. 19-14 and another long ranger to bring it to a two pointer game 19-17.
Still tight and a silly penalty from the home side sees a yellow card and Phillips scores another penalty. 19-20 to the visitors with time running out.
Honiton hang in there and win on the road.
