Water Win for the Dimonds

The Dimonds travel to the moors for the first Time taking on Okehampton in a rearranged fixture.
With conditions being poor it was always go to be a match to be won through effort.
After going down by try early on to Okehamptons giant the Dimonds soon equalized through a great passage of play and a team try .
With Jack leaving the field after a boot to the face the loss didn’t deter the TON
With heads up the visitors carried on playing wide and expansive rugby in the backs and great support and dominance at the breakdowns, allowing a handful of tries. At the halftime whistle Honiton were on top by quite a few scores and looking strong with fresh legs to come on in the second 25 .
Part 2 started the same as part 1 ended with the Dimonds dominating the scrum, so much so the ref nearly went to uncontested, however some tired legs midway through saw Okehampton claw a few back through their giant. It was Honiton who dominated the last quarter with some fine individual tries and some well worked team scores sealing a great win in awful conditions.
MOTM this week went to Thomas who had a fantastic match doing everything right, with tries this week going to Marcus (3) Eric (3) Josh (2) and newcomer Aidan scoring his first for the Dimonds
Great to see our new players Tyler and Will getting stuck in and not one player had anything left in the tank this week and they all did their bit to gear a well deserved win
