Under 9s Taunton Tournament

Rugby in the sun on a fairly dry pitch really made the tournament a joy to be at!

With some confusion from some teams pulling out last minute ??but we got there in the end and With 2 Honiton teams,each in their Own group against a few Somerset teams we don’t normally play which was a nice change!

Clevedon, Weston, Wellington, Newton Abbott for both teams playing a couple of them twice!

Honiton had no subs allday and played alot more minutes then some squads with 5 subs really dug deep and kept going to the last second!

Honiton B had some great performances just getting pipped last minute against once or twice against some big squad As!

Great effort from everyone today really good to have Ben back.
Switched the Captain around today and all did a great job.
Couldn’t pick anyone out today, it was some really tough games and the team made me very proud. Good work all.

Honiton As had a couple of tough close games but playing 6 games managed to come out on top 6/6! They really dug deep when they had to, it was brave 100% commitee defence allday and really took pride and fought to not to concede tries! With the ball they were by the far the strongest passing team really looking to pass and move the ball at every chance.

Coaches couldn’t pick any players of the week and were super proud of every player. We put Honiton rfc on the Somerset Map ?❤️?
