Honiton look to progress into the next round of the RFU Senior Vase competition, whilst also claiming the Southern Counties title when Burnham on Sea visit Allhallows this weekend.

There has been much excitement about this fixture since it was announced following the nail biting win over Penryn in Cornwall a few weeks ago, and the buzz around the club suggests that we're in for a fantastic occasion on Saturday.

TEAM NEWS:

Following a raft of injuries in recent games, Matt Bailey moves over to the number 2 spot in place of Robert Price who came off last week. Forced changes also see in the introduction of a new centre pairing as recent signing Tom Steer drops straight into the 12 position alongside Kyle Blackmore who is outside him at 13.

The remaining positions are relatively stable and so Nathan Hannay continues at lock alongside Nick Guilbert. The back row remains unchanged with Jason Hannay and Josh Rice on the flanks whilst Harry Wright will sure up the scrums from the back at number 8.

Phil Cooke and Alex Brooks continue their useful partnership at 9 and 10 respectively, and the formidable back line of Will Tyers, Jake Smith and James Coutts Tucker means that there is a considerable attacking threat which will need to be utilised to good effect if the Ton are to progress in the competition.

Theres lots of experience on the bench too with Phil Bird, Louis Lane and Andy Eason ready to make an impact. As well as that, there are also welcome returns from injury to Louis Groves and Ben Webber. Wes Keywood finishes off a bench that has the quality to be the difference in what is sure to be a close affair over the 80 minutes.

Overall, a strong team despite several injuries which demonstrates the depth of the squad. Nothing but a first class performance will do against the visitors this weekend, and with a large crowd expected on the day, there is no doubt that the lads will want to put on a show.
